Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using Decision Jar ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Volvox LLC ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of Decision Jar.

Decision Jar is a mobile application designed to help users make random decisions by creating virtual "jars" filled with options and randomly selecting one.

Key Features

• Create and manage decision jars with custom options
• Shake device or tap to randomly pick an option
• AI-powered suggestions for jar options (via OpenAI)
• Share jars with others via links or QR codes
• Track decision history and statistics

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Decision Jar. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

Free Tier

Decision Jar offers a free tier with the following limitations:

• Up to 3 jars
• Up to 5 options per jar
• 5 AI suggestions per day
• Advertisement supported

Premium Subscription

Premium subscribers receive unlimited jars and options, 50 AI suggestions per day, and an ad-free experience. Subscriptions are available as Monthly, Annual, or Lifetime options.

Billing

All purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Subscription fees are charged at the beginning of each billing period. Auto-renewal occurs unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Refunds

Refund requests must be made through the respective app store (Apple or Google). Volvox LLC does not directly process payments or refunds.

You retain ownership of all content you create in Decision Jar, including jar names, options, and any custom text ("User Content").

By using sharing features, you grant us a limited license to display and transmit your shared content to intended recipients. Your User Content remains stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly share it.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and warrant that it does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

Decision Jar includes AI-powered suggestion features powered by OpenAI. When you use AI suggestions:

• Your jar context (name, type, preferences) is sent to OpenAI
• AI responses are generated automatically and may not always be perfect
• We do not control AI outputs and cannot guarantee accuracy
• AI data is processed per OpenAI's privacy policy

You agree not to use Decision Jar to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Create content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or hateful
• Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or tamper with the App
• Circumvent any limitations or security measures
• Use automated systems or bots to access the App
• Make decisions that could cause harm to yourself or others
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Use the App for gambling or betting purposes

We reserve the right to terminate your access for violations of these Terms.

Decision Jar is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

No Decision Advice

Decision Jar is an entertainment app for casual decision-making. Do not use it for important life decisions, medical choices, financial decisions, or any situation where a wrong choice could cause harm.

Randomness

While we strive for fair random selection, we do not guarantee perfect randomness. The App uses standard pseudo-random number generation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Volvox LLC and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Decision Jar, including its design, code, graphics, and features, is owned by Volvox LLC and protected by intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice in the App or updating the "Last Updated" date.

Continued use of Decision Jar after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

You may stop using Decision Jar at any time by uninstalling the App. We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms.

Upon termination, all licenses granted to you will immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Wyoming.
